/Context-dump
PMs are like context routers. Your week is scattered across Slack, your calendar, meeting notes, and the team's commits. This skill pulls the fragmented work context into one short brief, checks against your goals, and evaluates how you can be more effective.
Reconstructing context before you can plan the next week is its own job. /context-dump saves the cognitive load of distilling context across these main sources.
What you get
The weeks often fly by like a blur. What did you really accomplish? Was it on the right thing? Did it move the needle or was it a waste of time? Where should you have focused your energy on? The brief gives you an assessment, not a raw activity log. Here's a trimmed example.
Verdict: leverage held at 72%, just above your 70% target, a healthy week. Overhead is at the 10% line, so watch the status-chasing. The real risk is that so much leverage work happened in meetings rather than shareable artifacts.
| Objective | This week | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Ship magicbox v2 | Arch decision landed | On track |
| 3P connections | PRD iterated 4× | Heavy |
| Personal growth | No activity | Gap |
How it works
The first run asks a few questions (your channels, calendar, notes folder, repos, and goals) to customize and set up the skill. No config file to hand-edit.
Pulls the last 7 days of context from all the sources you set up and gives you a readable brief.
Checks your week against your goals and the 3 Levels of Product Work (Execution, Strategy, Optics - from Shreyas), shows where your time went and recommends how you can be more effective.
Writes a 5-minute read and prepends it to the last one, so the file becomes a running memory of your quarter. Repurpose the content for your "optics" work such as leadership updates and self reviews.
Why every PM needs it
It assesses your week to show you trends on how your time is spent and give actionable recommendations on things to watch.
When all the slack messages and meetings are consolidated in one place, you'll catch patterns and signals and sometimes even important decisions you've missed.
Every dump prepends to the last. You can run further analysis over months to extract more learnings or repurpose for self reviews.
